Looking for a calm and patient female driving instructor in Parkwood?
I’m Kerry Morrissey, the owner and instructor at Elle Plate Driving School. I provide supportive automatic driving lessons in Parkwood for learners of all ages and experience levels.
With convenient access to major roads and the highway, Parkwood is a useful area for learners who are ready to develop higher-speed driving skills. Joining the highway can feel like one of the scariest stages of learning, but it becomes much more manageable when it is introduced calmly and broken into clear steps.
My Parkwood driving lessons can include:
• First driving lessons for complete beginners
• Automatic driving lessons
• Support for nervous and anxious learners
• Correct steering and road positioning
• Intersections, roundabouts and lane changing
• Highway entry and exit skills
• Safely building to highway speed
• Matching the speed of surrounding traffic
• Selecting safe gaps when merging
• Safe following distances at higher speeds
• Hazard awareness and decision-making
• Mock driving tests
• Practical driving test preparation
Before entering the highway, I will explain what to expect, where to look and how to prepare. We will work on using the entry lane effectively, accelerating smoothly to an appropriate and legal speed, checking mirrors and blind spots, selecting a safe gap and merging with the flow of traffic.
We can also practise planning ahead for highway exits, changing lanes safely and adjusting speed correctly when leaving the highway.
Highway driving is introduced only when you have developed the necessary vehicle control, observation and decision-making skills. My training car has dual controls, allowing me to assist if needed while you learn.
If you are searching for Kerry Morrissey, a supportive female driving instructor, highway driving lessons or automatic driving lessons in Parkwood, I would be happy to help.
